The Funeral Program Order of Service is usually the most time-consuming and difficult task when planning a funeral or memorial service. The Order of Service is the written outline or "program" for the actual funeral or memorial service. It is usually printed, and handed out before the service so that funeral or memorial service guests can "follow along" with the service. The Order of Service is almost always included inside of the traditional funeral program.
The Funeral Program or ceromony Order of Service can come from a variety of places. If you are holding a traditional funeral, with services being held at a church, usally the church minister or the funeral officiate gives instructions about how the service should be run. Theyusually ensure that their particular service protocol is followed. If you are holding your funeral or memorial services at a church, you should coordinate with church officials as soon as possible to ensure that your requests can be incorporated in the services.
Once you have spoken with church officials, and have a general outline of how the service will be conducted, you should now begin finalizing the service for print. This includes determining who will be performing what function in the service. An easy way to ensure that you can quickly finalize the order of service is to keep it general. Make general references instead of specific.
Example:
Change "Amazing Grace" to Musical Selection
Instead of listing specific names for Tributes and other verbal comments, say "Tributes by friends and family".
Keeping things general and save hours of time making changes when time is very limited.
Elegant Memorials funeral programs focus on personalization of your loved one's memorial service. Usually, the primary focus of our funeral programs are the photos that are displayed. Families often use photos from various stages of their loved one's life, as well as a mix of photos of the deceased's family members and friends.
