Funeral program templates for Word
When you are planning a service for someone you love, the program should be the easy part. Our funeral program templates open in Microsoft Word with the layout, fonts and photo spots already in place. You change the words and add your photos, then print at home or at a local print shop. You can use your template as many times as you need.

What's included in each Word template
- A Word (.docx) file in which every line of text can be changed, including the program title.
- Generic placeholder text that you replace with your loved one's details.
- Photo spots that are ready for your pictures.
- Backgrounds, borders and clipart that you can remove. Printing on a plain white page saves ink.
- Fonts that are built into the file, so the design looks the way it should. Fonts vary by design.
- Downloads stay available for 10 days after purchase, and you can use the template as often as you like.

How editing works
- Open the file in desktop Microsoft Word. Bifold layouts can shift or stack pages when you open them in Google Docs, Apple Pages, Word Online or Word on a phone. If that happens, close the file and open a fresh copy in desktop Word.
- Change the text. Click into any text and type over it.
- Add your photos. Right-click a photo and choose Change Picture, then pick your photo. Adding more photos makes each one smaller, so a few well-chosen pictures often look best.
- Remove anything you don't need. You can delete backgrounds, borders and clipart.
- Print on both sides. A bifold file has two pages. Page one holds the front and back covers side by side, and page two holds the inside. Print double-sided and flip on the short edge, then fold in half.
Sizes
- Bifold: 8.5 x 11 letter paper, which gives four panels when folded.
- Legal bifold and trifold: 8.5 x 14 legal paper.
- 4-page graduated: 8.5 x 11, printed on both sides of two sheets.
- Prayer cards: 2.5 x 4.25, eight per sheet.
- Large booklet: prints on 11 x 17 paper and folds to an 8.5 x 11 booklet.
- Other layouts: the paper size is shown on each template's page.
Common questions
- My pages are overlapping or stacked. What happened? This usually means the file was opened outside desktop Word, for example in Google Docs, Pages, Word Online or the Word mobile app. Open a fresh copy in desktop Word. If you'd rather not use Word, the Canva version doesn't need any software.
- How many photos can I add? The templates are fully editable, so you can add or remove photo spots. Keep in mind that more photos means smaller photos.
- How do I print a bifold so the pages line up? Print on both sides and flip on the short edge.
- I can't get into my account to download. Use the password reset on the login page. If that doesn't work, email us.
